don't kill yourself to raise the dead

Two things I learned over the past couple of days.

(1) No matter how well you think you know somebody, they will always still be capable of surprising you and, whether they mean to or not, making you feel like absolute crap.

(2) Sometimes, if you don't know the answer, that's your answer.

"Mascara-laden tears stream down the face of Penelope Peep as she realizes the jury did not accept her theory of “accident” in the death of her husband, Peter Peep. The prosecutor was attributed the success of his case to his life-sized exhibits. “I think the exhibits really showed the jury the level of violence involved in this murder.” Penelope’s attorney is now questioning whether or not his client was really tried by a jury of her peeps."

he's just not that into me

When Michael dragged Becky and I to go see He's Just Not That Into You (that's exactly how it happened, really), we figured we'd get some tough love. Instead we got stories about crazy people who did all kinds of absurd things that no sane person would EVER do, and yet they still got the guy.

So I bought the book.

And now I think I need to go buy a puppy. Stat.

Spinsterly yours,
Kerri
